One word describes the CD Ray Of Light from Madonna... AWESOME! I wish it weren't the case but, it's not everyday that I get aCD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listento from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that Ijust can't force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Ray Of Light. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy forme to listen to from start to finish. One of the refreshingly nice things about this CD is the way allof the participating artists seem to be really enjoyingthemselves. Combine that with the overall presentation andyou've got one of Madonna's most impressive releases ever. Ray Of Light is a first rate CD, delivering a little somethingfor everyone. I give it my highest recommendation. It's quitesimply great listening. A must buy if you're even mildly intoPop music. While the entire CD is really very good the truly standout tunesare track 1 - Drowned World / Substitute For Love, track 6 - Nothing Really Matters, and track 13 - Mer Girl.My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 3 - Ray Of Light. Great track!Ray Of Light Release Notes: Madonna originally released Ray Of Light on March 3, 1998 on theWarner Bros. Records label.

The extremely talented group Down have released their most recent CD on the EastWest America recording label, entitled Nola. It's a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I cantruthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I'm more than happy to announce that's exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers hereat all. These days it's a very rare CD on which every single song is good or better than the one before it. This CD is certainly one of those rare CDs. Overall Nola is an outstanding release. What I call must have music. I give it two thumbs up and is most definitely a worthy addition to any Rock collection. Down II Heavy Metal Music CD Review by Lee Dennis

One word describes the CD II from Down... AWESOME!
Down have been a super stars in the Heavy Metal genre for quite some time now and II is an excellent illustration as to why.
II has a nicely varied, mix of 15 tracks that are very well written and brilliantly performed songs by these clearly superb musicians.
Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine
are their own real life experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions of love, heartbreak, pain, failed
relationships and unattainable romance. They're all here.
Overall II is an outstanding release. What I call must have music. I give it two thumbs up and is most definitely a worthy addition to
any Heavy Metal collection. Truly an outstanding Heavy Metal CD. One of those that is completely void of any wasted time, as each
track is simply superb.
While the entire album is really very good the truly standout tunes are track 12 - Lies, I Don't Know What They Say But..., track 2 -
There's Something On My Side, and track 15 - Landing On The Mountains Of Meggido.
My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1- Lysergik Funeral Procession. Wow!

The Genuine Idea Of The Words Of Christian Music by Isaiah Henry

Listening to Christian music is one thing, but understanding Christian music lyrics is another. We all find ourselves lost and amazed at different tunes we hear of today and chances are appreciating Christian music can only be done if we understand them word for word through the Christian music lyrics to which they render to us.
Gospel music lyrics are something that most people would turn to find, once they hear them for the first time at perhaps a religious gathering. Normally, these gospel music lyrics are composed to deliver messages for listeners usually at times when there are celebrations or services given. Many would be surprised that these lyrics can carry a tune and once this happens, the next step is finding out the essence and message of the lyrics being carried from such gospel music we tend to disregard today. Not all people would be too appreciative on what gospel music lyrics contain.
But what makes Christian music lyrics so special? First, they are a musical alternative to hard rock and popular music that floods us from everywhere. For many people the only important thing in a song is the rhythm and the lyrics are completely disregarded.
Christian music is the other way around. You have to focus a lot on the lyrics to appreciate the message and composition and beats are supplementary factors that attract people. At least in this setup, people can truly understand and appreciate Christian music and its real intent.
If you find a reason to listen to Christian music, dont listen just to its melody but try to get the meaning of its lyrics. The meaning of its lyrics might not be easy to get immediately and you have to look beyond the common meaning of the words in the text. The lyrics of Christian music convey morals that can make the life of many people brighter. Certainly, this is necessary today, especially when we have in mind that music is an extremely popular art and many people get its messages.
For people, who are trying to find the meaning of life, gospel music can do a lot because it gives the answers to many questions one asks. There are so many people, who are not certain what they want to do with their lives and gospel music can help them a lot, even though the meaning of gospel lyrics cant be understood immediately.
For people, who are looking for something different and with more meaning, Christian music lyrics can be the answer. The purpose of Christian music lyrics is to provide fruitful messages and give answers to the people, who need them. You might be astonished how Christian music lyrics will guide you to a better life. You just need to open your mind and soul to its messages and you will see how miracles can happen!

Changing The Way We Listen To Music With The MP3 Music Player

Not so very long ago most of us who are old enough to remember probably had a collection of vinyl albums that reflected our wide taste in music. Such technology was all we knew and, with the help of a record player, we could enjoy our songs without having to wait for them to come on the radio. Today, technology is so different that it barely resembles its former self. Music lovers of today carry around portable devices that store all of their favorite songs in a piece of equipment that is barely larger than our thumbs. The MP3 music player technology initially appeared in the mid-1980s but we would not see the player in its present state until the late 1990s – 1999 to be exact. But when it made its appearance it would change the world of music forever.
The MP3 music player utilizes media formatting technology to convert existing audio files to the MP3 format. The MP3 format consists of compressed audio files; audio that has been compressed into very small files that can fit into the MP3 music player. And it achieves this compression without sacrificing the audio’s sound quality. In some instances, depending on capacity of the particular MP3 music player, users can fit thousands of songs within its confines. Better still, because of its size the MP3 music player is a portable unit that can fit in handbags and coat pockets. Users have access to their favorite songs no matter where they are and what they are doing. And as their taste in music changes or expands they simply add additional songs to their MP3 music player collection.
The MP3 music player is able to capture audio files through the use of the computer. The most popular variation of the MP3 music player – the iPod – made linking to the computer simple and convenient for users. So much so that most MP3 music players that are sold today are done so because of their compatibility to Apple software – the company that manufacturers iPod.
On the computer, users can either upload their favorite CDs that can then be downloaded onto the MP3 music player; or they can purchase songs online and then download them to the unit. Apple’s iTunes is the most commonly used musical resource for purchasing and downloading songs.
But aside from the convenience in downloading, the MP3 music player is universally revered for its portability. It can be plugged into your vehicle and played through your car’s audio system, plugged into headphones and played while you exercise, or plugged into portable speakers and played throughout your home. In any case, the MP3 music player is the most comprehensive piece of equipment available on the market today to play music.

Discover How History Of Music Will Make Your Music More Luminous

When I first started studying the history of music, I did not know what I was getting into. I had a notion that music history was somewhat of a trivial pursuit...
Honestly, I only followed my history of classical music course because I needed the credits. I am sure some of you out there can relate to that. I did not know how fully interesting music history could be. You see, in our culture many of us do not really study to comprehend music. For much of the world, music is a language, but for us it is a thing that we consumed passively.
When I started to study about the history of Western music, however, it changed all that for me. I have had some experience using musical instruments, but I have never mastered one enough to really comprehend what music is all about. This class showed me.
When a lot of us think about the history of music, it means the history of rock music. We presume that the history is plain because the music is plain. In fact, neither is the case. The history of music, whether you're talking about classical music, rock music, jazz music, or any other kind, is always complex. New chord structures are set up carrying with them new forms of understanding humanity. New rhythmic patterns are established, carrying with them new methods of understanding history. And music shows all of it.
History of music nowadays is even more interesting. Even when the class was ended, I could not stop learning about the history of music. It had stimulated my appetite, and I wanted more. I acquired all the music history volumes that I could discover. I even started to examine forms of music that had not interested me before in the hopes of improving my musical knowledge further. When I was in school studying toward a very different subject - a degree in engineering - I had thought about giving it up and going back to obtain a degree in musicology. That is how much I am fascinated by the subject.
If you have never taken a course in the history of music, you don't know what you are missing out on. You do not miss what you don't know about in a way but then again... Believe me the CDs will never sound the same to you again. Actually not only the Cds but any type of media you are or will be using to play your favorite music. The whole thing will seem much more rich, much more luminous, and much more important. A new song can reflect a new way of being, and a new way of imagining existence in the world. This is what learning about the history of music means to many of us. Just try it and you will see.
Listening to music now has a whole new meaning. You can imagine all the different types of musical patterns there are in the world. It make your musical mind really expand.
